You must use teacher office hours at Tesla STEM to be successful. This is a crucial skill for students to learn before college when professor office hours are a valuable resource. Our students who grow to become comfortable discussing course material and getting clarification during teacher office hours transition easily to the next level of achievement in college.Your teachers are here to help you!

• Get questions answered about homework before you turn it in
• Clarify lecture material
• Clarify assignment expectations and due dates
• Get tips about how to improve study techniques specific to the subject
• Plan ahead for future assignments/tests (go in before a test for help studying; get your essay reviewed before submission,etc.)
• Learn how to break down big projects into smaller, more manageable chunks
• Build strong, positive relationships with your teachers by showing you are invested in their classes

If you already knew all the answers, you would be teaching the class! Your job is to be a student and learn, not to already know everything. Ask questions. Get help. This is one of the most important lessons you will learn in high school.
