Naman Mutalik Desai, a sophomore at Tesla STEM High School, was recently named as a recipient of the Mike Yarrow Peace Fellowship (MYPF) for 2023-2024. Naman was nominated for creating his own award-winning initiative for improving soil health and reducing fertilizer pollution.

High school students from Lake Washington School District (LWSD) made a splash at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
Lights, camera and action! Diya Modi, sophomore at Nikola Tesla STEM High School, spent two full months of eight-hour days filming a movie. The end result? Being the lead character in a film that premiered to a sold-out audience at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) in mid-May.
Two of Lake Washington School District’s (LWSD) students have been named to an esteemed list. Lora Kwon, senior at Redmond High School, and Arihant Singh, senior at Nikola Tesla STEM High School, are 2023 U.S. Presidential Scholars.
