Tesla STEM High School is having a huge presence in this year’s Regeneron Science Talent Search. One student was named a top 300 finalist while another is in the final pool of 40 students vying for the top prize. In addition to the students, a Tesla STEM teacher was awarded a Teacher of Merit in the same competition.
Kisa Dupe is a senior at Redmond High School (RHS). She also holds the title of the first ever Miss Washington HBCU Teen in the Miss HBCU Teen Scholarship Pageant. Dupe is using her platform to promote a book drive that focuses on diversity of characters. She is hosting the book drive in tandem with Kennedy Roberts. Roberts is a junior at Tesla STEM High School and is the first ever Miss Washington HBCU Junior Teen in the newly established Junior Teen division of the pageant.
A student at Tesla STEM High School could be a national scholarship pageant winner by the end of her school year. Kennedy Roberts, junior, was recently named Miss Washington HBCU Junior Teen.
On Wednesday, December 13, 2023 students at Tesla STEM High School had a special visitor. Dr. Stacey Dixon, the Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence (PDDNI), stopped by to learn more about the school and meet the students.
